Word documents

When I open up a word document it has all these funny characters next to the lines of text. Like hash tags and a backward "p" with a line in front of it and it is putting dots in between words where there should be spaces. However when I switch users the problem isn't there. Anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this.

Thanx

Jim

Those are formatting marks. The backwards P indicates a paragraph break, the dots indicate spaces, etc.

In Word, go to File>Options>Display where there should be the option to disable (uncheck) all or some of the formatting marks.

Never mind my GF figured it out. She clicked the backward p at the top of the toolbar and it seems to have eliminated all the formatting marks.

Thanx

Jim
