Is this just when you initiate the browser? If so, have you tried a different browser?

Here's how to have XP display the error message instead of rebooting-

Post the error message. To reboot the computer after seeing the error do the pressing of the Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys.

Have you tried a system restore back before the issue started?

Getting another browser will be tough if you can't launch your only one

Smile Plb solved

Hi guys,

no the problem occured as soon as internet was connected, before having to launch my browser.
I went in msconfig, and changed my settings to "normal startup"; that did the trick for now...however im sure the trojan or whatever it is is still present, hiding and waiting for the right payback time!
Hasta luego!
