DPC Watchdog Violation Problem
Hi everyone.
I have recently been getting a blue screen that says "DPC Watchdog Violation". After some research I read that the iaStorA.sys driver might be the problem. The article said that if you have storahci.sys (which I do) you should update the driver. Windows says I already have the best one. The thing is I cannot seem to find the correct driver. I'm running Windows 10 Pro Dell Optiplex 7010 sff Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40GHz Motherboard-DELL 0GXM1W. Last edited by tupenix; April 20th, 2022 at 03:45 PM. |

Somewhere on your Dell is a black sticker with a "Service Tag Number" such as 7N7FMS1. Jot it down or snap a pic of it then go to this Dell support page: https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us and type that Service Tag number into the "Identify your product" box on the left. On the page that pops up, click the "Drivers & Downloads" link.

Thank you so much.
I had to download Dell Service Assist to find out my Service Tag, but it did the trick. Now I guess I'll find out if that was indeed the problem. ![]() Also found out I have a critical Bios update, but I need to look into how to install it properly as Service Assist could not.
