Windows 98 Problem solving for the Windows 98 Operating System

Operating systems
When I turn on my pc it says Operating systems not found I have tried everything in the mannual please help thanks Betty

Welcome to CTH

Reboot and when the 1st screen comes up hit your DELETE key to get into SETUP (may be a different key - the screen tells you which key to hit).

Once in there you will be presented with menu items, find one that says something like AUTO DETECT IDE DRIVES and highlight it, it should then detect your hard drive.

Now SAVE & EXIT, and let it continue to boot. If it does not find the hard drive, post back.

and...make sure you don't have any floppy disks or CDs in the drives.
