Hello,
I got a iMac running OS 8.6 on it and when I connect to my network using Ethernet. When I go into IE, it says it cant load the page. I am new to the Mac OS, so I really need some help. thx in advance, |

Are you sure the network connecting?
Do you have access to other areas of the internet without IE? mail? FTP? Have you tried a different browser (if you can find one for OS8.6)? |

It dosen't want to recognize my discs that I record. un it shows an ip when i go to TCP/IP.

What kind of disks?
And what's the IP it shows? Does it start with something like 169.x.x.x? If it does, that would indicate that it's not getting an ip from the network. Check your cables. You need to describe your set up a bit more... cable router? ethernet hub? Wireless? What's the connection route from outside your house to the Mac? |
