Murray is very correct in all that. And of course Rainbow's help for the person was on target. There is no one checking each and every post in each and every thread for policy checks. Just a CTH team effort idea that most helping folks will do the right things. Even outside of any policy change made recently it would be business as usual - if a Hijack Advisor like Ann Marie sees something amiss, she would say so. Always has, as that works best. Anyone decides to do things without regard to CTH policy, they usually learn about CTH policy in action. Very little has changed that way.

Global forum on a 24 hour clock, so some of you will definitely see some item that has yet to change, perhaps while the person responsible for it is at work. The title will change this eve US East Coast time, about as soon as I'm done typing here. Actually, I saw Murray here and stopped in to see if he would feed my cat if I go on vacation next month.

I'm even more confused now.

Edit, OK I've worked it out. We can post over there as long as it doesn't include advice.
Am I right?

Nick:

So what part of ".....training school and/or links to topics in forums where you have previously helped. " do you not understand??

geekstogo has an excellent malware removal specialist training school.. have YOU trained there?? If so, post your credentials..

Have you replied to malware posts in any other forum such as AmazingTechs (or nay of the others) and provided a fix?? If so, give a link to them !!

There is no failure to communicate here, just a failure to comprehend what is being said !!

Okay, okay.. a failure to comprehend what was being said could be contrued as a failure to communicate all on it's own.. But, I think everyone will get my drift..

Oh I get your drift in that you continuously put people down. I don't really care myself,
but being short with new or lengthier members is uncalled for.
You need a break.

The Cyber Safety Forum Guidelines has been clarified a bit so hopefully it is a little more clear as to what is needed..

"Any member who wishes to help interpreting logs and believes they are qualified to do so are asked to contact a Moderator via Email or Private Message. Please provide the name of your Tutor if you have graduated from a recognised online training school and/or links to topics in forums where you have previously helped."

For the record I went one step further to help the poster and sent a p.m. to a qualified expert to look over the thread and shorten the delay for a responce.

I'm going to correct your post here by letting you know there's no space between Ann & Marie, it's AnnMarie.
