2 Operating systems?
Have just recently formatted my hard drive and installed windows again. When I start my computer, a black screen comes up giving me two choices, (1) to start windows xp now press enter (2) to start windows xp now press enter. I have to do this every time and it is extremly annoying. Any way of getting rid of it?

Sounds like you installed new XP and formatted for that....to install XP you need to change boot order in bios and boot to XP cd. You need to delete the first Windows now but frankly you would be better off reformatting the whole drive and starting over.

Thank for for your replies.
I got this sorted out by going to Control Panel > System > Advanced > Settings and changing the time from 30 to zero seconds. When the computer is started, it goes straight to Windows. Just what I wanted it to do..... Thanks folks |
