Lenovo ThinkPad X1 tablet keyboard stops working
My old Lenovo ThinkPad X1 (Gen 1 or Gen 2?) tablet has issue with keyboard stops working frequently. I have researched on YouTube and tried all the fixes suggested. The only fix that helped me is to go to device manager and uninstall the keyboard. Then restart the Windows tablet and it automatically reinstalls the drivers for the keyboard.
At this point, the keyboard will start to work again for a few minutes and then it stops again. I repeat the above steps and it will work for a few more minutes and then stop again. Is there a more permanent fix that anyone may know of? Thanks |

it could be the bios battery is going bad. One test (though not infallible) is to check the bios clock and see if it is showing the right time. If not, then try replacing the battery.
Also, give a desktop keyboard a try and see if it has the same problem. |
