can't use F8
Is there a dos command to do a safe boot for windows Server 2003? I cannot get it to recognize F8.

you should be able to use the F8 command at the startup. So when you boot the 2003 server when are you pressing the key before the Windows Splash screen appears.
Or try another type of keyboard could be issue with that one |

If your keyboard has an F LOCK key,make sure to turn it on while booting.
It enables the F keys. |

Loads of questions here!
1) is it in live production on a meaty server, or are you just having a play with a pc running S2K3? 2) What version of S2K3 is it? 3) What hardware is it running on? 4) Are you able to boot it up in normal operating mode? (Thereby allowing yourself the chance to hack the registry) 5) Has the server performed normally at any time, or is this at the point of installation? Sounds like either your registry is a tad wonky, you're keyboard maybe at fault, or you've got a seriously loused up installation of S2K3. |
