Not reading CD-ROM drive / device not ready
I am running Windows 98. I bought and installed a CD-RW and had major problems with it so I deleted it. Now when I want to use my old CD-ROM it doesn't work. I believe everything is installed correctly becuase it does run, the light comes on and the currect drive letter assigned is Q:. When I try to run any CD in it, it comes up with Q: Device is not ready. HELP! I do wonder if the pin needs to have 3 slots or just two. I am currently using the 2 slots with the red line.
