Changing Games and Wear and Tear

If I'm constantly putting on and taking off computer games, should I be doing it to a partitioned hard drive, to reduce fragging and speed up performance?

Reccomendations for a free partitioning program that doesn't require you to be a computer veteran to use it?

Howdy:

Wouldn't really matter.. The second partition would simply have to be defragged more often to keep those files together.

May help a little but you probably wouldn't notice any difference.

Thank you! Game speed isn't a huge issue, but the computer is 7 years old, and I'm living in terror of the day it dies, so I'm hoping to preserve the hard drives a little.
