Stop error 0x00000050
User downloaded IBM software installer. Right after that it boots to desktop
then goes to blue screen. Does same thing in safe mode.. Tried a repair install but still does the sam thing.. I even tried new memory even though iam sure the ibm download is at fault. Any ideas would be great..

Roll it back out (last known good config). That software installer is a pain (though when it works ok, it's quite clever).
Patch the hardware, O/S and antivirus right up to date and try again, after you've taken a system restore point
