Which wedcam and or Skype?
Hi
My dad has a sony centrino laptop, don't know much more than that. He has is wireless and has broadband He wants a webcam so he can chat to my brother (we're in Uk he is in USA) Which would you suggest? Would you say this is a better suggestion than getting skype? Or maybe I get him both?? It will be a birthday present so don't mind spending a bit on him I've used neither. Any suggestions are welcome |

There are a ton of good webcams out there. I've heard some good stuff about Logitech webcams (link is US, but you can change the location). Most (if not all) come with microphones you can also use. There are many free and non-free programs that you can use to talk (text, audio only or video & audio) including Skype and some IMs, such as MSN Messenger, AIM, Yahoo Messenger, etc. You can use a combination to have video, or just one of them for text-only (with a PC microphone) for audio only.

Hi
As far as webcam..is covered by the previous post...As I have frequent chat with a friend in Canada,I opted for Skype, and the msn messenger,it appears that Skype gives less problems than msgr |
