Bios Upgrade
I have an older MICRON with 2 small 4 gig SCSI Seagate drives and BIOS (version Phoenix Version 4.05 W6LI S-01) that according to Micron has a limitation of 8.4 gig. They also said even if I got around the limitation with an upgrade, I would run into another limitation at 20Gig.
What I want to do is upgrade the system to about a 60Gig hardrive (non-SCSI). Can anyone suggest a way t0o do this? And if so, what type of hardrive would you recommend that would work with my onboard IDE controller? Thanks for your help |

Hi AlanGreen50 welcome to CyberTechHelp.

that system as a gift to someone who doesn't have a computer and acquire a new system. Old stuff isn't worth the time put in to battle incompatibilities that never stop appearing. |
