After upgrading from Win98 to Win2000, every time I boot, I receive a series of repeated messages in a windows' Window INSTALLER window to install (NERO) from cd. (It is already installed.) It takes 4-5 cancels before they all go away.
The same Window Installer window pops up when some other Windows programs are invoked (such as Windows backup) but not Adobe Photoshop or WordPerfect. Where is this command and how may I delete it? Last edited by saidelwm; January 5th, 2005 at 08:51 PM. Reason: additional information |

During program installs they look at what O/S you have and install accordingly. When you upgraded
those programs have no idea that the O/S changed so they have to be reinstalled. Start Run... type msconfig Startup(tab) uncheck the problematic programs checked to start with the bootup. Then when your up Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and uninstall (remove) the glitchy proggies. |
