Windows XP Service Pack 2, (Release Candidate 2)

Windows XP Service Pack 2, (Release Candidate 2)
I just downloaded the above release and installed it. I was wondering if any of the other users have done the same. The pc appaers to be running the same way that it was prior to this release. I like the functional firewall.....
THe popup stopper is very functional, and at least microsoft did not remove their version of java from the pc this time.

The downside is that this release did not recognize my AV.

Has anybody noticed dramatic changes? Any opinions on this release? Maybe one of the moderators can make this thread a sticky.

I am temporarily using AVG 6 until I go buy another copy of Norton ..... Another thought .............. I had posted a problem in the networking forum and since I installed this update I have not had a problem. My home network is now SOLID

AVG 6 should run without any probs.I know of a few that are using it on sp2 and yes it also contained better networking support.

I think that is standard.
It will not effect your AV, but because it is not an MS product then it will not detect the actual product being used.
