Cant install XP pro Sp2
Had vista home premium.
Formatted disk through Puppy Linux (NTFS) When i restart the computer and put xp disk in it loads what it has to load and then i press enter to install windows xp but then it says: Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer Make sure any hard disk drivers are powered on and properly connected to your computer, and that any disk related hardware configuration is correct... Setup cannot continue. To quit setup, press F3. System info: Laptop ACER aspire 5710G Dual core 3.5GHz 3Gb memory 160Gb HDD

More than likely you have a sata drive & windows xp doesn't have sata drivers on the disk.. You can try going into bios & changing THE SATA OPERATION SETTING TO ATA.. If that doesn't work, check this out..
