Computer automatically restarts, help please
Hello everyone, I have a Compaq computer with XP and when i start my computer, its at the blue login screen, it says "windows is starting up" but it takes a while then it automatically restarts everytime at that point, can someone help, thanks.

Installed any new Drivers or new Hardware recently?
And, will it boot all the way in Safe Mode?

The only thing I installed was Sonic MyDVD plus program thats all..and I had to you use daemon tool. And yes I can go into Safe Mode, I also tried the method of unchecking the auto startup thing too, but still doesnt work.

check to see if you are able to get into safemode. If you are able to, try restoring to a previously saved restore point to just prior to the problem.
