unclear picture after zooming in

1600x1200
I have a digital camera (olympus d-380). i also have windows xp. after i take the picture and put it on the computer and i start to view the picture it looks very good,when i zoom in on a picture it becomes unclear(really fuzzy) i was wondering if there is a program avalable that can make the pictures clear when i zoom in on them?

I've got the same camera. First, what program are you using to view the pics? The CAMEDIA software, Windows viewer or another program?

Second, what resolution are you shooting? There's 4 choices (SHQ,HQ,SQ1 &SQ2): SHQ should give the best quality pic. Try zooming in on one shot in SHQ (versus, say, SQ2).

Third, were these grainy photos shot in macro mode, using digital zoom, or in normal mode?
