Unhappy Windows Installer files update problems

Help!! I am trying to install a new Norton Systemworks and I am getting the following error message:
The Windows Installer Files on your system need to be updated. You must restart your computer to reboot and update these files. I always press OK, but rebooting is not solving the problem.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Thank you for your help in advance.
Judy

Hi judyeng - welcome to CTH. Take a trip to Windows Update (open IE and click on Tools > Windows Update) and make sure that all your updates are in place and then try again.
