You will need to get a squid first.......j/k but there are ways of refilling them, but alot of times that doesn't work....buying a name brand ink cartridge is your best bet I say

Depends on the printer, older HP printers were easy to refill the cartridge for but now days cartridges have a chip on the back of them and most won't let you refill. Besides that, a lot of refill inks can ruin your new printer.

Don't use refills, you will find that the ones that can be refilled tend to leak inside the printer and can cause damage to the cleaning mechanisim.

You can get them refilled at catridge shops here in NZ or buy refillers. But they arent really worth it as the ink leaks sometimes, and were the ink comes out may be worm down or damaged abit and your printings come out all messed up etc, Not worth the hassel.

Agree w/ the others - trying to refill used cartridges yourself is not wise - there are certainly places on the web (google 'ink jet refills') that offer kits and/or will do the service for a fee, but quality of the inks and potential printer damage are the issues - personally, I've always bought new cartridges made by the manufacturer of the printer(s) I am using (like Gillette - they make money on the razor blades & sell the razors cheap! )

It's very hit and miss in my experience, although some compatible cartridges are good, especially those that contain a small amount of cleaning agent in them.
I read an artical some time back that the big players (HP, Lexmark, Epson)use a non absorbent type sponge that will not accept ink unless under very high pressure, like in the manufacturing process, in an attempt to prevent refilling. |

i work at officemax and we have a ink refill service station, it works really well and its up to 50% cheaper than new cartridges and only takes us 10 minutes to do.
