Platform: Flash, Win32, Mac OS X
Notes/Comment: Point and Click adventure from a designer who worked on the new Sam & Max episodes.
"Something stinks and it smells like crab, only there's something funny about these crustaceans. You play as Detective Nick Bounty, who despite his ability to solve the most tangled cases, has yet to work for a paying client. This time it's up to you to discover who knocked off a local seafood salesman and get to the bottom of a diabolical counterfeiting operation!"

Name: Brick Ball
URL: http://codenautics.com/brickball/
Genre: Arcade
Platform: Mac OS
Notes/Comment: "Brick Ball is a something like racketball, but played on a computer. And at the back of the court, there are bricks which disappear when hit by the ball. Sometimes bricks release extra items which, if you can catch them, will give you extra powers (or sometimes, cause you grief). As you play, you gradually reveal a picture on the back wall, and when all the bricks are gone advance to the next level with new bricks, a new picture, and new bonuses and hazards."

Name: Armagetron Advanced
URL: http://armagetronad.net
Genre: Action
Platform: Win32, Mac OS X, Linux, Others (source)
Notes/Comment: ""A Tron clone in 3D"
This has been the tagline of Armagetron, since, well, a very long time, and is probably the shortest and most accurate description possible. Tron was an arcade game based on the movie of the same name, release by Disney in 1982. The original game consisted of 4 sub-games, the only one of concern is the 'Light Cycles' one, in which the player uses a left/right joystick to control a 'Light Cycle' which leaves a wall behind it wherever the cycle it goes, turning only at 90 degree angles. The player must then get the AI to crash into their wall while avoiding hitting the AI's own wall themselves. Those were the humble beginnings of Armagetron Advanced's game play, which has now blossomed into 16 player mayhem, with highly advanced AI, network game play, and of course all in a 3D environment."

Notes/Comment: "Transcend can best be described as retro-style, abstract, 2D shooter. The graphics are geometrical, and the pace is sometimes frenzied."

War of Conquest

Name: War of Conquest (abbr. WoC)
URL: http://www.warofconquest.com
Genre: RTS (kinda)
Platform: Platform Independent (see below)
Notes/Comment: You begin as a stone aged tribe, and through the collection of experience, either via combat, agriculture, or uniting in a "seed" your nation will grow, and learn. Once your nation is strong enough your goal will be to claim one of the scattered orbs on the world's surface. These orbs will grant you prize winnings. These winnings may be traded in for Game credits, or once you have collected enough, you may cash them out through PayPal or Moneybookers. And has been doing so for over 4 years.
The game is free to download, and free to play, although you may choose to purchase game credits, which can be used in game for the purchase of seed nations, special techs, and special powers.
WoC comes in two different packages. A Windows Version, which contains the Java based game client, and the version of the Java Runtime Enviroment it was written to run in. And a Mac/Linux zip files which only contains the game files. WoC requires Java 1.4.2_03 which is still availible for download. More detailed instructions and help are availible for Mac/Linux users who need the assistance on the forums.

Notes/Comment: "Flyff, short for 'Fly For Fun', is a free MMORPG made by the Korean company Aeonsoft. As the name implies, players can fly around the world using a hover board, broom and other devices (Premium Items). It also offers player vs. player as well as 120 levels of character progression." URL: http://rappelz.gpotato.com/
Genre: Online RPG
Platform: Win32
Notes/Comment: A fantasy-realm MMORPG from the makers of Flyff and Space Cowboy Online.

"Like Gala-Net's other MMO titles, Rappelz is free of subscription charges; revenue is generated through the sale of special items via the "Cash Shop". Purchasing Cash Shop items is not compulsory, though the FAQ implies that they may offer the player a distinct advantage in-game." (Wikipedia)
