Notes/Comment: "In this game, you have to put together several simple geometric primitives to build a given shape. For this, you can move, rotate and compose the primitives with the boolean operators union, intersection and minus. This is building what is called a C.S.G, for Constructive Solid Geometry"

URL: http://www.gnu.org/software/gnubik/
Genre: Puzzle
Platform: Win32? (source), Linux (source)
Notes/Comment: "GNUbik is an interactive, graphical, single player puzzle. This free program renders an image of a cube, like that invented by Erno Rubik. You have to manipulate the cube using the mouse. When each face shows only one colour, the game is solved.
It uses Gtk+ and/or X11 and Mesa / OpenGL."

Genre: Turn Based Strategy
Platform: Win32, Linux, Others (source)
Notes/Comment: "Space Hulk is a great board game of Games Workshop in the world of Warhammer 40000. This is a two player turn-based game where one play the 'Marine', the other play the alien called 'Genestealer'.
The project is aiming at providing a way to play SpaceHulk on your computer exactly as you could do it with the real board version but with some extra : you can play via network (no need to have two players in the same room) synchronized or asynchronized (via e-mail), and you will even be able to play solo against an artificial intelligent opponent. Currently, only HotSeat and Play-By-Email mode game are implemented."

Name: Liquid War 5
URL: http://www.ufoot.org/liquidwar/v5
Genre: Action
Platform: Win32, DOS, Mac OS X, Linux, FreeBSD, Others (source)
Notes/Comment: Liquid War is a unique multiplayer wargame. Its rules are truely original and have been invented by Thomas Colcombet. You control an army of liquid and have to try and eat your opponents. A single player mode is available, but the game is definitely designed to be multiplayer, and has network support.

Name: U61
URL: http://www.ufoot.org/u61
Genre: Puzzle
Platform: Win32, Linux, Others (source)
Notes/Comment: "U61 is another block-based game. At first sight, one might think it's yet another Tetris clone. But it's much more than that since its rules are fully configurable: you can edit them and create your own gameplay. U61 is designed to be a multiplayer game, and supports internet play. The game comes with 4 themes, 3 sets of rules and complete documentation."

Genre: Shooter
Platform: Win32, Linux, Others (source)
Notes/Comment: "XPilot is a multi-player 2D space game. Some features are borrowed from classics like the Atari coin-ups Asteroids and Gravitar, and the home-computer games Thrust (Commodore 64) and Gravity Force (Commodore Amiga), but XPilot has many new aspects too."

URL: http://www.adom.de/adom/index.php3
Genre: RPG
Platform: Win32, DOS, Mac OS X, Linux
Notes/Comment: "Ancient Domains of Mystery (ADOM for short) is a roguelike game which means that it is a single-user game featuring the exploration of a dungeon complex (and in the case of ADOM a few other games of this genre: the exploration of a large wilderness area with villages and many special locations). You control a fictional character described by race, class, attributes, skills, and equipment. This fictional character is trying to achieve a specific goal (see below) and succeed in a difficult quest. To fulfill the quest, you have to explore previously undiscovered tunnels and dungeons, fight hideous monsters, uncover long forgotten secrets, and find treasures of all kind."
