Burning an ISO image as a Bootable CD/DVD
So confused with this “simple” task.
The way I understand things... there are two types of ISO, one that contains a boot file (eg win10 installation file) and the second an ISO that does not contain a boot file (eg Hiren's Boot disk). Is this right?? I have tried both 'Rufus' and 'ImgBurn' without success. All the Utubes just talk about win 10. With Rufus I can load the iso, but it will not recognise the CD. In ImgBurn I can load the iso, it will also recognise the CD drive as destination . So how do we tell these programs that the iso needs a boot file to be added? Or is this automatic... can they tell if the iso has a boot file? Or do we have to add a boot file ourselves? Any help would be most appreciated... please keep it simple Lionel |
