Smile ctrl alt delete won't work at times

Is there another way to get your computer to respond other than using using
ctrl alt delete . I often have to press tower button and reboot if my computer freezes (I posted that issue on browser board) I don't like having to shut down my computer like that.

Thanks so much!

Not that I know of. Pressing ESC twice sometimes works, but generally if it freezes Ctr/Alt/Del to bring task manager up is the best way.

You need to figure out what is causing the freezing.

If by some chance your mouse still works, right click the taskbar, then Start Task Manager

Ctrl+Shift+Esc will also bring up Task Manager

If your keyboard or mouse still works, then you could create a shortcut on your desktop for Task Manager..However, usually when it freezes you don't have a mouse/keyboard. But anyway to create the shortcut:

Right-click on your desktop and choose New then click Shortcut. A new window will pop up. Browse to the same path as above, C:\Windows\System32. Scroll down until you see taskmgr.exe, highlight it, and then click OK. Click Next, type a name for your shortcut, and finally click Finish.
