Windows Vista Boot Up Problem.

I have recently bought a windows vista laptop
Asus X52s.

Specs
Duo T5550
Memory: 2GB
HD : 250 GB
OS: VistaPermium

Well when i turn it on after the logon screen
there is a black screen with a cursor and then suddenly a box comes up
like this saying

Install Windows

X Windows could not complete the installation. To install Windows on
this computer, restart the installation

And after i press okay it just reboots or turns off..
i dont have a windows vista cd as it os came with the laptop
But i do have the asus driver cd , and the asus recovery cd.

Have you tried putting the Asus recovery cd in and restarting the laptop? If not do this now.

Has it worked since you got it or is this what it did the first time you tried to start it up?

Hey yes it doesent boot up from the recovery

the first time i booted it up it sais
something about um
booting up from the disk so i put in the recovery disk
altho i dont remebered what i did after that it started recovering HD
and then it asked me for driver cd i put in the driver cd
and yeh it finished and it started up after installing drivers
and after boot, it was just a black screen and a mouse cursor
but it turned off. then when i turned it back on
i got the error ..

sounds like you need to exchange or return it since you said you just got it.
