Thought of that too when I was trying to find the last one but I couldn't locate it on the recovery cd or on the recovery partition. Ah well, now I just have another recovery option.

Help me!I have the same problem. im missing
file:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\compbatt.sys
Status:0xc0000098
Info: Windows failed to load because a critical system driver is missing, or corrupt.
Well, I don't have the Windows vista disk so now what? Can you give me any advise?I have a Sony Viao VGN-NR10E
Running Windows vista home premium. just got it from office depot about 2 weeks ago.

Hey stalechips. It's a bugger of a problem, let me tell you. How familiar are you with using command line and do you have recovery CDs that came with your system?

I read your story.I figure it was hard.Im bad with using command lines and no, when i got my lap top, there was no recovery cd's of any sort.
