yeah i double checked my registry and all my values are at 1900 x 1200 which is the highest resolution. wow you too?!?! do you think it's a nvidia thing? in my post 2 posts ago there's those other threads with all the other people having the same issue. even when you google it. or do you think it's like a vista/virus thing?!

My guess is that it is an nVidia thing. I am going to go through my settings with a fine tooth comb and make sure everything is kosher and I will get back to y'all if something is amiss.

alright thanks! i went to the nvidia control panel and it's set to the highest resolution and 1920 x 1200. that's all the nvidia thing i know haha. i'll definitely keep checking online and let you know if i find something too. this screen thing really sucks. everytime i have to re adjust all of my windows and rearrange my desktop icons

who's ann marie? did you install the windows updates yesterday because i did and when i restarted just now my resolution stayed the same at it's highest. i'll let you know if it changes when i log off and restart again later on since i have to go to school now

Yes, I installed updates yesterday, but my problem was fixed before then. Ann Marie is a moderator on this forum, she is a big help.

oh well i just logged off/logged on today and i think that the update has fixed my whole issue. but if it acts up again i definitely will try to find ann marie. thanks again for all of your help jazz!
