weird problem

i just recently upgraded my mother board to a abit ic7-G max2 and some weird things have been happening. when i tuned it on first it wouldn't post, then after removing everything and puting it all back to gether it worked. The next day it was doing the same thing. so i swaped some ram with my friend cause i heard that my board is picky. i have ddr 400 and the ram i tried of his was 333 and it worked fine. so i said that i might need better quality memory so i bought some 2,2,2,5 patriot memory 1gb. when it arrived it was doing the same thing. then i swaped my 8x 9600xt video card for a 4x geforce 4 and it was working just fine. what happened with the 9600 xt when i turned it on what the fan was spinning and then it would stop but it worked fine with the 333 ddr. So what im thinking what is wrong is that my agp slot mabie has a lose connection beacuse it somethimes works. Or the video car is having problems. i have never seen anything like this so your ideas on this problem would be helpful.

goto this link,is this mobo,clic support info on right side,Prescott or Sempron cpu support,ur processer may not support ddr 400.u post ddr 333 does work

I have goten my computer to start up once or twice with the 9600xt and when it does windows gets multi colored but when i use geforce 4 it works fine. i tried the 9600xt on my dads dell and it didn't work so i think its the video card problem so i rma my card and see what happens
