Automatic Password Logon
I installed WinME on a P-II computer recently. When the password diologue boxes came up for the first time, I hit CANCEL. Now, whenever we bootup, we must hit CANCEL in order to proceed. I even installed TweakUI 133 and selected Automatic Logon under the Network tab - did not solve the problem. How can I avoid any password prompt at bootup. Note: this is a single user PC; password is not necessary.

There are a few things to try.
When it boots and the login box appears just press OK. This should log you on without a password and you shouldn't get the prompt again. If this doesn't work then search for .pwl files (usually in C:\Windows). Delete the file and reboot. At the login prompt click OK to log in without a password.
