A weird problem
I use a program called Sysmetrix. It's basically just a versatile system monitor. The program itself runs fine and dandy, however, evidently it caused some sort of problem somewhere. When I start certain programs (such as the program itself, Microsoft Outlook, tab editors, and a handful of others) it tries to run the sysmetrix install. This wouldn't be so annoying, but I have to cancel it three or four times each program start. It loads, I cancel, it unloads the started install, closes, and repeats. I have no idea what could 'cause it. The install is a .msi file, and I'm running WinXP Pro.

Hi fatmac - have you tried uninstalling Sysmetrix, copying the files to your harddrive and reinstalling it in Safe Mode?

No I have not, however, I have uninstalled it before, and the problem was still there before I re-installed it.

Installing a program in Safe Mode often fixes issues that are caused by programs running in the background.
