Upgrade?

Hi! My name is Christian and I've just joined to this community. I have a problem. My parents bough a new computer one year ago but it works awfully slow (Lenovo, dunno remember the specification now). It has Windows 8, originally installed in the computer show. Do you think that upgrade to Windows 10 could make the computer faster? Thanks in advance for all your responds.
