missing pointer
I am using my daughter's old laptop with a wireless mouse. When I wake up the desktop from sleep mode, the pointer is 'invisible'. If I hover over an icon I can see a highlight where the pointer should be, so when I left click the pointer becomes visible. I have discovered that a work-around is if I leave open the last web page that I am viewing and close the lid, the mouse is present when I open up again. Is it necessary to close all web pages before closing the lid as it seems that the pointer only vanishes when opening up to the desktop?

Hi detsi,
I spotted your request yesterday, but had no immediate answer. Right off I would eliminate the wireless mouse - try a wired mouse and check. Could be bad batteries on the mouse, or other odd things that happen when using wireless mice/keyboards. |
