Startup Repair and CHKDSK failures
Startup Repair and CHKDSK failures
Attempted to chkdsk, it failed. Attempted to repair startup files... also failed. Here is the short report from C:\Windows\System32\LogFiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt: Quote:

This is a question from another thread in response to my original post:
Quote:
I launched chkdsk from the command prompt as an admin. chkdsk /f When I ran it again recently it seemed to work.... so I will need to fun it through again and test the startup file repair function as well before requesting continued support with this case... Standby. |

Might try
chkdsk /rinstead. |

This also failed. And then the startup repair failed also. Want the report? |

Hi,
Yes, the report could be useful. In a first time, as you have : - a sfc scan clean - a dism report clean we'll go to the easyer. Open your files explorer, right click C: and choose "properties". Then click "Tools" and "Verify". Let it run (do not open other programs..it takes 15/20 minutes). What's the result ? |
