cant stay connected
i have a router and my friends laptop never had any problem staying connected to the internet here. now she came over and she can get on but gets kicked off within 15 minutes. then she can reconnect but agaon gets kicked off in another 15 minutes.
she has a hp laptop my router is linksys can you tell me what to check to find the problem? thanks kuzzz |

Two ideas: First update the router software. Second it may be the router is slowly going bad (had it happen to me).

Is the laptop connected by Wire, or wireless?

i don't think that is the case because the other laptop has no problem staying connected.

No, but I am wondering if the wireless is part of the preferred network. Are you using encryption?
