Thanks Murf.
The /CheckHealth came back saying that the image is repairable.

But /RestoreHealth throws a Source not found error.

When you use the /CheckHealth argument, the DISM tool will report whether the image is healthy, repairable, or non-repairable. If the image is non-repairable, you should discard the image and start again. If the image is repairable, you can use the /RestoreHealth argument to repair the image

Did you do it in a elevated command prompt:

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Question

it seems like I have HD issues.
Disk activity hovers around 80%-95% sometimes maxing out... always 100% at start.

Perhaps I am not managing my data well and its bogging down my system causing corruption in the system files?

How could I diagnose such a situation?

Easiest is to run the manufactures hard drive test, if you know the make of the drive.

Seagate click on Sea Tools for Windows bottom right
Western Digital Under Software for Windows (Data Lifeguard Diag for Windows
Toshiba (You need the model number)

If you go into Device Manager should tell you the brand then just go to their page to download their Hard Drive Testing software.

  1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, and then click Search.)
  2. Enter Device Manager in the search box, and tap or click Device Manager. You might be asked for an admin password or to confirm your choice.

Ran the WD scans. No errors.

Then ran the /Scanhealth... says "The component store is repairable"
Then ran /Restorehealth and it failed with the source files issue "The source files could not be found."

Ugh... this source issue is driving me nuts.

Any advice from here forward?

Looking though this: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/7...-10-image.html
To download the ISO file so I can declare my source with DSIM.

After downloading and mounting the ISO file I ran:
Quote:
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:wim:E:\sources\install.wim:1 /limitaccess
Which resulted in:
Quote:
[==========================100.0%================== ========]
The restore operation completed successfully.
The operation completed successfully.

Looks like I am off with a full repair here. Thank you for all the help.
