Upgrade to XP
Hi.. I am using windows 98 SE and am about to upgrade to windows xp pro.. Does this mean that i will lose EVERYTHING on my computer or will it safely upgrade JUST the windows program??

Any help would be appreciated

If you have the Windows XP upgrade then it will replace the Operating System but should keep your data & personal files.

(I would backup just in case).


Personally I would recommend getting a XP full installation and starting from scratch.

Before you upgrade, be sure to run the xp readiness test at pcpitstop.com - it will help determine and give hints as to what problems you may encounter as you upgrade your os.
