computer owner

Hi--I recently bought a used HP dv6 laptop running Win 7 Pro. After some while i managed to change the owners name to mine but his name still appears in certain addresses and along side some folder names--c:/user/***/. [*** being his name].
What i would like to know is there anyway of completely removing this name from the system?

Any help would be appreciated thanks

hI IPR--having followed your instructions now when i got back to the user profiles copy page i found the following--
Default profile--1.57mb---local
Jay-PC\cl --- 22.8mb --local
Jay-PC\Jay--- ? --- local
JayPC\Tech-- 2.62mb--local

\Jay being the acct name i wish to remove
\cl being the new name i want [created this as standard acct]
\Tech being the spare Admin acct i created

The problem now is when i click on the Old acct Jay-PC\Jay the COPY box does not light.
In fact the only one to light "copy" is the Default acct.

Hi caissurfer
I've just gotten done reading numerous posts at that link I had given you, and now I'm sorry that I even gave you the link as others are reporting all sorts of problems.
I do know that years ago I was given a computer that had been somebody else's, and I tried changing the name on it. I finally had to wind up reformatting it to get things right.
