Help - Removing duplicated process & disabling those i dont need

Hey,

My computer's performance has been very slow for the past few days. This shouldnt happen as I'd just reformat it like a week ago. There are several duplicated processes that exists, all running on either the same username or by Local Service, System & Network and Jan(I only have one user) - some of them using up too much memory!

These duplicated processes include :
*there are even processes that shouldnt be there as I'd already disabled them or did not even run it. I underlined those. I understand that svchosts is something for windows.. Could you also help me with disabling any of the svchosts that I won't need?

avp.exe - 3,244 K
avp.exe - 28,684 K
csrss.exe - 1,156 K
csrss.exe - 1,068 K
SDWinSec.exe - 3,368 K
sidebar.exe - 5,676 K
sidebar.exe - 3,224 K
svchost.exe - alot of duplicates, the highest memory used by one of the duplicates is @ 53,236K
taskeng.exe - 1,048 K
taskeng.exe - 2,612 K
usnsvc.exe - 692 K

My system specs :

Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate SP1
Intel Core 2 Duo 6300 @ 1.86Ghz 1.87Ghz
2Gb RAM
32-bit operating system.

This is perfectly normal for some Windows processes and you should leave all of the below processes alone:

csrss.exe
csrss.exe
sidebar.exe
sidebar.exe
svchost.exe
taskeng.exe
taskeng.exe
usnsvc.exe

See here for more information on svchost.exe and a search will provide you with more information regarding the other files if you really need it.

avp.exe belongs to Kaspersky and is also a component of some bundled ISP Security Suites. SDWinSec.exe belongs to Spybot Search and Destroy - arguably the most useless piece of antispyware software around at the moment.

Try clean boot troubleshooting to see if you can isolate the problem and if you do, get rid of the software that is to blame. See here for more information.
