Right click on Network Neighborhood and left click properties. Find the TCPIP listing for the network card (not the dialup) Highlite it and then properties. Adjsut the settings to match the network. Probably auto but maybe not. You will possibly have a couple of extra settings to make that xp doesn't have if it's not auto. Then after saving and rebooting, go to your internet settings, possibly "Tools/Internet Options/Connections"(varies a bit based on version of browser) click "Never dial a connection" and then click "Lan Settings" You then most likely will click "Auto Detect".
