It sounds like the problem is in the box somewhere, since a signal is not being sent to your monitor. The red light is probably your hard disk light and if it stays on it means there is a problem with your hard disk. Try this link for
hard disk recovery . Chances are though, that if nothing is displaying on your monitor that the problem is closer to the motherboard.
I would suggest replacing the motherboard or CPU. If you dont know what i'm talking about, then take your pc into a corner PC Repair shop or internet cafe. They should be able to replace the faulty components for you
