I just bought this card a couple of weeks back....

I just bought this card a couple of weeks back. It's nVidia based and works great, needs no power connection, runs cool (never above 45c/113f so far) and has a good easy to understand interface.

I agree that you need more hard drive space for the swap file (virtual memory) because even video at the lowest quality settings eats up memory after a few minutes.

Since it quits even within a minute of power-up, I'll bet the farm it's the power supply instead of a thermal problem.

That's why I emphasized "might". I've had the MBR mess up a couple of times over the years, luckily only because of glitches, so I suggest trying the MBR fix first.
