Can I get a new mobo heatsink socket?
I have a machine which has a broken lip on the heatsink socket meaning the heatsink cannot be secured, leading to cpu overheating etc etc.
It's an AMD AM2 socket, as in the link here:...

WEP preventing DHCP?
OS - XPSP2.
I have a wireless modem/router hard wired to a pc. It assigns the pc an IP address by DHCP - 192.168.0.2
WEP is enabled and the wireless laptop has the correct WEP code entered as...

Netgear DG834G wireless modem/router.
Laptop and PC need to connect to it.
Laptop can access internet via ethernet, and could see the router wirelessly TO BEGIN WITH (?!)

I have reinstalled XP Home on a system and then installed SP2 on top of this.
I now get a message at the end of booting telling me to insert the correct SP2 disk, saying something...

Connection not working, user had contacted ISP who said all was fine and PC World (I know) who told him his browser was corrupted...
