Well if you can still get into the bio's I would check to see if there are any unusually high or low voltages you also did not list the brand or wattage of the power supply in question

I would go with a Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Black edition and instead of the geforce 9400 go with a 9800 GT very good price for performance ratio on that card and CPU also go with a 500 or 600 Watt power...
