I used to use CDRwin to burn everything but, when I replaced my burner,
I had to switch to Nero because CDRwin would not recognize it as a burner. :hmm:

I'm thinking of adding 2 more hard drives and already have both IDE cables full.

Found that Nero has a utility to check disks.
Both new spindles of 50 dvd's test at 4x.
Label says they are rated at 16x....

I've had this drive for about a year.
I use Nero for burning and never had a problem until 2 months ago.
When I try to burn an image to disk (or anything else), it now only shows 4x as the max....
