Question Connection problems. Only game works.

I'm posting for a friend. My friend can't surf the Internet with his laptop via wireless or wired. or even directly connected to the modem. BUT he can play Magic Online. His roommate can surf the net...

You bought a netgear over a linksys WRT54G v3?!? WRT54G v3 go for a lot on ebay!!(About 50-60$) You can install 3rd party firmware to it (Which I'm pretty sure is legal...cant see why it wouldnt be.)
