installing Linux inside win7
Win7 seems to be a bit greedy/domineering.
I just tried to install Kubuntu 10.04, LinuxMint 10, and, Ubuntu 10.10 inside win7. In all 3 cases. When I select Linux at boot, I get the message :- Try (hd,0) : NTFS5 : wubildr _ I tried installing DAEMON TOOLS as advised somewhere on the net. But, all to no avail. Has anybody else had this problem? |

anyway there is a fix in the following - see if it helps you http://www.linux-solved.com/post/SOL...ldr-14580.html |
Thank you all for the help.
I just gave the whole idea away and switched back over to twin-drive / dual-boot. That way I boot into Ubuntu by default, which is better anyway. I really only use windows to work with programs that don't run properly through Ubuntu and/or Wine. Things like my printer. Which prints good through Ubuntu but will not scan through Ubuntu. Or DesignCAD (It does run through Wine) but can't access outside of Wine for saving work. They are both necessities. Ubuntu is much nicer for working and playing in though. All I need to do now is work out how to access linux partitions from win7. |
