Copying and Pasting Links

I copy a link from the adress bar of a site and then paste onto Word doc but nothing happens. I go back and hit copy and paste again and then it works?

It works in Onenote and other online mediums like facebook etc - I think its Word settings but need help?

Are you right clicking on the web URL and hit "Copy" then go to the Word Doc, right click and paste, then hit your return key?

"Are you right clicking on the web URL and hit "Copy" then go to the Word Doc, right click and paste" - YES

"then hit your return key?" - its no use hitting the return key as nothing appears on the page when I hit paste?

Did you resolve it yet? I have Word 2013 and cut and paste works, but will say that the first time I put my cursor in Word and right clicked, no menu came up, then I did it again and was able to paste.

no, it used to copy links on the first copy and paste straight into a word doc - now i have to do it twice......or alternatively if i have the document up before i copy then it works first time but this is annoying...
