"wifi disabled in the computer setup utility"
Hi all!
To be honest, I am not sure if this could be a hardware problem. My wifi light normally turns to blue a few seconds after booting, but this time it never did. My laptop has only a touch switch which also doesn't function. I am running windows vista. The HP Wireless Assistant gives the message in the title and doesn't give me any option for "enable". After searching on the internet, I tried the following with no success: 1) In the Control Panel -> Manage Network Connections -> Wireless Network Connection - I right-clicked it, only "disable" option and when selecting "diagnose" I got the following "Wireless Capability on this computer is turned off" It suggested turning it on with the switch, which doesn't work. 2) Entered in BIOS -> System -> Boot Options -> Internal Network Adapter Boot. It was disabled so I thought I found it. I enabled it but... nothing. 3) I tried System Restore with no result either. I can't find a way to have access to this device. At the moment I am connected by cable but I really would be grateful if someone could help me use the wifi again... |
