The worldest worst ISP

Hey,

I have just found out why I can't get here on my paid ISP - it confirms what I had suspected.

The reason is because ISPs cache DNS addresses so as to save people actually searching the internet. They do this to save themselves money and bandwidth.

However in order to provide a decent service and update their cache for new sites as they become available (ie. Mine) they should update regularly.

But cheap ones like XTRA NZ do not because they're lame ass cheap sobs http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I have complained to the top of my lungs and as hard as my bold text could go bold in emails - and they say they will delete my sites cached DNS tomorrow and then reload it which will update it.

Notice how they're only doing my site because I complained !!!!

Pathetic service but they're the fastest ISP in NZ that I've found.

Right now the better service I'm getting is from FreeNet NZ who actually update their DNS and hence why I am able to be here now.

A free ISP kicking one I pay for - what is this world coming to ?!?!?!?!?!

LOL Mishy, If it's any consolation, it's not just Xtra, Paradise.Net (the cheapest pay ISP in NZ) does the same thing. Ihug (mine) doesen't.
Here are a couple of links explaining more about the ISP cache issue.
PLEASE NOTE - IT IS NOT JUST HAPPENING IN NZ!! Check your own ISP!
